Hello everyone, and sorry for my Google English.
In season 3, despite having other characters (my usual skald, friar, minstrel, mentalist, warden, and others), I'm only playing a vampire. It's perfect for my playstyle; I often play in BG, but alone. I enjoy solo PvE against high-level mobs, and the occasional PvP duel. I get bored without instant speed, and I like klimb walls and melee fight. Silence isn't essential to me; as an assassin, I'm a total wimp.
Now, the first revision of the vampire was perhaps a little too strong. In PvE, nothing more than a friar, anyway... but in PvP, if used and specialized well, it could seem unbeatable.
The other nerfs are perhaps not so essential; there are characters like the Skald (a character I've played and owned for 25 years) or the Friar or the Minstrel who are even stronger (I'm only talking about the ones I've played and know). But the last nerfs seemed almost punitive rather than a way to even out the game's mechanics.
So I thought, isn't it just that we vampires are unpopular and that the problem is an image problem?
I'd like to say a few words about vampires... I'll start with myself. I'm a good man, now elderly, and I try to be a good father and a good partner. I do a serious and demanding job with diligence and commitment. If I encounter a Grey and/or realize that the opponent is growing with experience, I don't kill him. I try not to overdo it in battle, and when someone rell me, I always say thank you. At the word "push," however, I'm relentless, and until the extermination of my opponents or my own death, I won't stop.
Speaking of other vampires, aside from a few stray splinters, I've met wonderful people, devoted to family and friends who put others before themselves. Scaling the walls of a fort, far from healers, if you're in a group, in an attempt to clear the battlements of enemies and guards, is risky and often fruitless in terms of RP. I could go on for hours recounting episodes of generosity and humanity from my colleagues, but I don't want to bore you any further...
Returning to the current patch, I can't even cast two reinforcement spells in a row... let alone cast DD! Opponents on the walls mock me as if I were in my underwear. During duels, even scout/SB/Infi/Hunter groups that previously had no problem attacking me in groups of three or four now leave one of their members to finish me off alone, and sometimes I hear them say to their companion, "Come on, that's enough..."
The pity I see in the shadows is what hurts me the most...
Okay, sorry for the outburst, I was just sharing... I've found a new job and am trying to dedicate myself to repairing the gates of the keeps and towers. If anyone needs help with the garden, I can also do some tree trimming.
Happy gaming, everyone!
