ReShade 6.5.1 Settings & Install for Eden 2025

Hello Friends I am Hazefest.

I recently came back to the server after a long break. I noticed my old ReShade Guide no longer works. I decided to dive into the new ReShade 6.5.1 and fiddle with it for a few hours and found out the following.

Follow these 10 steps below to install this version of ReShade!

1. Download ReShade 6.5.1 from https://reshade.me/ or from this Google Drive location: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1sPPxVZ ... drive_link

2. Exit DAOC and the EDEN LAUNCHER before you run the ReShade 6.5.1 file. It will ask you to Select a Game or Application. Click Browse and select Camelot.exe from your DAoC folder.

3. Click NEXT and Select the DirectX9 Option. Click NEXT.

3a. If you have ReShade installed already choose the "Update ReShade and Effects" option.

4. Select effects to install.
Click the check boxes on the left to open a drop down menu of options for each of the choices below.
Add additional options at your own risk as they may slow down your performance or crash your client.
These options I know work well on Eden.

SweetFX by CeeJay.dk:

5. Then Click NEXT. After the effects are pulled down from GitHub click FINISH.

6. Log into Eden. WAIT at the realm/character select screen for the ReShade bar at the top of your screen to finish compiling the shaders you pulled earlier. This will take a few moments to minutes depending on your rig.

7. Once it shows ReShade is now installed successfully! Log into the game world.

8. Press the HOME (default) key on your keyboard. You can do the tutorial or Skip it.

9. After the tutorial you will be on the HOME TAB and you see a list of effects. Move through the list and check the boxes listed earlier and any other effects you want.

10. Go to the SETTINGS TAB and set whatever key binds you want for the OVERLAY KEY, EFFECT TOGGLE KEY (on/off button), and the EFFECT RELOAD KEY. Test the on/off key after closing the ReShade Overlay.

You can now go back into the OVERLAY as often as you like to fiddle with any of the settings at the button of the HOME TAB. If you mess up and want to revert settings each effect has a reset to defaults button at the top. You can use the COLLAPSE ALL at the top right of the HOME TAB for easier navigation through the effect options you have active. ENJOY!
