Question about Season 3 Beta

I've never done a "beta" for a game, so I hope this isn't a dumb question...but if we participate in the beta, will we get to keep the leveling progress of our toon(s) into the season 3 launch...or will the launch reset us back to level 1?

I've heard some people say that they are just going to wait until the lunch...but I'm thinking...if we get to keep our leveling progress, why WOULDN'T anyone want to participate?

Ive been a part of 5 or 6 Betas. I've never been a part of one that let you keep your progress. The only rewards i have received are titles, pets, or a mount that were only available to those who participated in the Beta.

S3 Beta starts on the 5th of january.

S2 beta took 3-4 months if I remember correctly.

Its done when its done. Help testing/reporting bugs and it will be sooner.
