A. What is resist pierce doing? Giving resistance to spell pierce or giving you spell pierce against your opponent lowering their spell resistance to you? Depending on what it does, is that where legendary/magical damage weapons come in?
2. Can anyone explain legendary weapons and how they are made? The only thing I remember is they were element damage opposed to physical, right? How do you go about getting/making them and is there more to them?
Sorry for the potentially dumb questions, I just want to understand this a bit better...I wasn't still playing the game when this stuff was introduced.
Thank you for any information, appreciate anyone that takes the time to answer.

Re: Resist pierce and legendary item questions...
I'm new to Eden, but played DAoC live a bit, so I'll try to help if I can. Legendary weapons can be made by weaoncrafters. They require not only metal, but also several items from an alchemist and some items from a spellcrafter. They also require a special item (such as a Torch of Innovation for fire-based damage) that I think come from ToA.
I think your Weaponcrafting skill has to be around 1080 before you can make them.
If I recall correctly, spell pierce is about you piercing your opponent's resists. (Someone please correct me if I'm mistaken.)

Re: Resist pierce and legendary item questions...
Resist pierce allows bypassing resist types for magic damage purposes.
Legendary weapons are melee damage, not magic. They just take elemental/soul resists for their damage calculation instead of slash/thrust/crush.
