Why not allowing "XP off" in BG when there are RP Level assigned to each BG!

Most of the players have 40+, please let us play as we love to.
I understand that you do that to push players to the Great RvR, but we have toons for Great RvR too.
Please, let us choose how we want to play.

Official answer from Rtha "Once the rework is in, the XP restriction might go"

Check here: https://discord.com/channels/8684286631 ... 3313101957 and read pins. Don´t forget it´s a server with custom setting and freetime devs. Your vision isn´t probably their vision. The purpose of BGs on Eden are just as "an [balanced - after rework-] alternative level route."

Didn't really understood why they change /xp off. I get that BGs in Éden are made for level but what was the problem with BG twinks? Casual people that want to only play BG won't get to 50 anyway, and I don't think twinks were making BGs that unbalanced for those who just wanted to level anyway.. Only the full groups and even that was bringing some actions and not just chaining quests.

Well, if I had to guess, they came to the conclusion that it isn't desirable to have people camp out in BGs with fully sc'd toons to prey on people just trying to get to 50 without grinding mobs all day.

Now, i have levelled a couple of toons to 50, and I personally haven't experienced this, apart from one encounter in Cathal with what had to be a set group. I know it gives you the good feelz rolling over enemies like that, but it also runs the risk of discouraging BG play for the majority if fully SC'd 'BG toons" become an actual thing on the server.

One templated rank6+ at 50 svg/valk/bm/zerk etc can easiely take on 4 people in epic gear too if everything is up and they suck. No different to bg twinks fighting people in grey/green armor because they forgot to buy that or dont want to spend the bps.

Not be a smarty pants here, but you argument reads as:

In the big boy RvR, people have an advantage over me because I cannot or do not want to put in the effort (templating, gaining ranks, practising/making friends), so please let me stay in the BG permanently where by virtue of focusing on a BG, I will have superior equipment, RR and experience over players that are "just passing through".

Your mileage may vary, obviously, and I am sure some people are really just the super-casual type that will run around with bp gear whenever they real life responsibilities will allow. But you could also argue that BG play is a way for certain players types that cannot hack it at lvl 50 to be the big fish for a change.

The question is whether that sort of thing is good/bad for keeping a steady stream of players to move from 1-50 and join what is arguably the primary "end game" of the server. I'd probably quit BGs if I get killed a couple of times by red-conned, fully templated stealthers. So there is that side too. Not an easy solution to this imho.

1. You don´t have to grind RR. You get a huge bonus until rr5 (if seasonal cap is high enough). You have so many extra rps coming in from losing battles, from ticks from campaign, from missions... If you can´t or want to play 24/7 accept the fact that somebody else is probably higher RR or better than you.
2. You can also be ganked in BGs.
3. Making real (!) friends is always a longer progression. Being a popular well known "superstar" needs dedication and time. Building your own groups and having a positive mind, can make you a name alone and not every grp forces you to use voice... i mean if it´s your own grp, you can also set the rules. If you want to play competitive, not having voice can bea huge disadvantage. So you can´t cherry pick everything.
4. This server focus on lvl 50. If you can´t adapt, play sth or somewhere else. You aren´t forced to play here.

I do 3-5 times more rps in cathal solo than in 50 even if I dont run a cathal template ( you need to be able to kill players for that bonus to apply in NF for below rr5 rp bonus). Raiding keeps gives like 600rps in NF. One solo kill in cathal gives like 600-800rps, even if I die 3 times more often in cathal the action is way faster and I dont need to juggle level 50 buff charges (which last like 12mins only with dura) and recharge constantly. Its way more relaxed and faster in battlegrounds. And the deathblow spam gives good indications what areas to avoid. In NF its just too much everywhere, that you either run arround forever without inc and you wasted buff charges for nothing or you run into grps/ sweaty high rrs owning you if you play something visible arround box towns. And all other areas you need way too much patience for action solo.
