L50 Casters still have opponent resistance issues?

I'm curious if the caster classes at level 50 still have the issue that most spells get (completely) resisted by the opponents or enemies? This was an issue many years ago that caused me to quit DAOC because most casters were quite useless in RvR or PvE.

You said on Reddit that you played around 2004 the last time.

There is a 10% base resist rate, beside that no problem. It helps to fully understand the resist mechanics of DAoC (e.g. use mastery of focus for non lvl 50 spells).

And its entirely irrelevant.

If you play a caster and use spells which aren't lvl 50 (the spell, not your spec lvl), use mastery of focus in order to bring it to lvl 50 and therefore reduce resist rates.

And what is it with stuff that adds +X to a spellcasting group like the Thane's Stormcalling? Do these increase the levels of the spells too?

No.
Mastery of Focus and the Dragon Intellect Mythirian with +3 spell level are the only options to increase the level of a spell.
