How to incorporate /face into a recorder

I've tried everything I can think of - /face, the quick bind key F and even a macro. None of these seem to work in a recording. Any way to incorporate /face into a recording? thanks

If you have /face on f while you do your recorder, you type: /recorder sendkey f <enter>
