Paladin specs

Hi there
Paladin get a buff in spec points here.
I was wondering about a 2h spec.
I'm always aiming to specs that leave 0 spare points.
Here is what I get:
39 slash (autotrain): to get smallest variance
50 chants: subject to changes, I don't know if it's worth past 48 chants (last af pulse)
35 shield: the "sacrifice" of slam might be a no go but I feel there are other stuns that can be sufficient enough
44 2H: I was first looking after 50 but the rear chain isn't worth the points invested. At 44 you get a 9s stun side chain, back and side snares and a strong 34 anytime (0.98 gr if charplan is right).
19 parry
What are your thoughts? Is 2h too weak regarding paladin damage table? Is slam mandatory?

Personally since I'll mostly be grouping on mine smallman to 8man I'll probably run something like this...
50 Chants
50 Two-Handed
39 Thrust
23 Shield
-OR-
50 Chants
50 Two-Handed
34 Thrust
35 Shield
Since a big part of your job in group will be to peel anyway, Shield back stun and side stun is enough for me to get a stun on someone and land the 23s snare style. There might be sometimes you'd use Numb as well so they're not stun immune for so long if you're peeling. I want as much DPS as I can get in most situations versus high ABS/AF classes so that's why I want 50 Two-Handed and Thrust since scale is neutral to thrust damage and chain is weak to thrust. If you go Slash scale is weak to it, but chain is resistant. If you're hell bent on Slam you're probably wanting something like this...
50 Chants
44 Two-Handed
42 Shield
34 Thrust
-OR-
48 Chants
44 Two-Handed
42 Shield
37 Thrust

thanks for the feedback.
I aimed slash because I wanted to use all autotrain points but I agree thrust is a better choice
I see you want 50 2h to maximize damages but what would be best damages: 50 2h/34 thrust or 44 2h/39 thrust?
edit: maybe you're aiming for post RR5 specs

wow 42 parry, isn't that too much?
why not dropping parry for this?
charplan?c=Paladin&l=50&r=Highlander&rr ... =50&s73=15
you get better chants/buffs and 15 shied to get guard 3/engage when needed

As mentioned, Thrust is just superior as a damage type due to the resistant table so I am a heavy advocate for any melee to use Thrust to be honest. With the assumption that you are going to be playing in an RvR setting for the majority of your play-time I would personally go:
39 Thrust
39 Two-Handed
42 Shield
9 Parry
50 Chants
You get a decent anytime with Thrust and you also have access to the back snare and the side style haste debuff which is nice when facing Midgard Melee trains.
39 Two-Handed for the back style that is good for snaring fleeing enemies but if you wanna go balls to the wall damage then you'll be slamming and then spamming the any timer anyway as it (Along with a lot of styles at this patch level) has a disgustingly high growth rate. You'll sacrifice some to hit bonus and it costs more endo but you're a paladin so endo isn't ever a problem.
42 Shield is a no brainer for me personally, Slam is just so convenient, an anytime 9s stun. What is there not to love?
As for the Chants, the final self Str buff along with the level 50 magic ablative is just :chefs-kiss:
At RR 5, I would have it looking something like:
34 Thrust
44 Two-Handed
42 Shield
6 Parry
50 Chants.
For Paladin's, along with many other classes, a lot of specs work so it's down to your personal preference, this is just my opinion.

If your goal is to purely PvE in a group then your spec would be:
44 Slash
50 Shield
24 Parry
50 Chants
This gives you the followup for the slash taunt style and the rest is self explanatory.
If you are soloing and grinding mobs then I would use:
39 Slash
39 Two-Handed
42 Shield
9 Parry
50 Chants

Ok i understand. Mostly i will play with a friend of mine. He takes a friar and we want leveling in duo, grp (I think this is not a problem for these two
)
But with 50 I need a spec for PvE (raids ect.) and RvR (mostly in BG)
