Hi,
I have a Berseker 7L and i am playing 90% of time solo, so i fight everyday many time in 1vs1 counter many class of other realms.
In my experience i can certificate one thing : Berseker can't win a melee fair fight counter 80% of melee class with a low rank and Berseker can't win a melee fair fight counter 100% of melee class with same rank or more.
Mirror class is the worse i think, i duel counter Mercenary or Blademaster RR3 many times, they kill me and have 80% life at the end of the fight... and of u talk about fight counter reaver, friar, champion ... they finish the fight full life lol... i mean, for sure i am not a PGM but, its not possible to be atomized like that by all players and class.
I was playing a Berseker 20 years ago, that wasn't the best char on 1v1, but at minimum i was making hard hits... today a Berseker hit like all other melee class, exepted of course when you rage up... and if you rage up on 1v1, you are dead...
More of that, many melee class in Albion or Hibernia can be called "cheat class" on 1v1like Friar, Reaver, Champion, Mercenary, etc etc... in Midgard i have : Berseker, Skald, Warrior, Valkyrie 5L+ and all this char are weaks in comparaison.
In the Magics class its sensibly the same fact, that why all ppl are moving on Albion and alot in Hibernia, i think, because they can have in this realms, powerful class to play.
I respect the work you did and i love DAOC, but i think the balance class have to be changed or your server will fall down, in my opinion, this is not a 3 Realms game atm, but its a 2 realms game + 1 PNJ Realm.
I am not asking for perfect or atomized all my enemies, just having a chance to win in the fights...
Yesterday i fight a Mercenary 3L with my Berseker 7L... i use my 5L, my charge, my rage, my Chapions lvl ability, etc etc, all i have... the fight finish he was still at 85% HP and he parry and i fumble all the fight... was ridiculous... then i attack a Blademaster 6L, he was at 50% HP, he kill me have have still 20% HP... friar, reaver, champion...? They finish full life and the fight is during something like 15 seconds... i feel like a mob and the only way i see its : leave Midgard...

Looks like a skill issue. More People have and are using more tools, buffs etc than before 20 years.

Thanks for your post, but when i read you, i think you are from Albion or Hibernia so that simple to fix balance problem from Mid : all this people are unskilled.
Thats why so mutch people are playing on Midgard now so, lol.
The problem, its Midgard melee class are obsolet compared Hib or Alb melee class... this days i make some new char on Hib and Alb for test... Champion, Friar, Reaver... just my Friar with epic stuff, 2L5, i now more powerful than all melee midgard 5L+ i have... for my champion 2L4, its the same...i feel like playing at a new game lol... well, i easy understand why people are moving out from Midgard... and MY skill is the same when i just change realm, but the result are totally different, interesting no?
i repeat i am not the best player so far, but i have played enough and since so much time at this game for see, when a balance problem exist, and on Eden, its a big balance problem.
Thats the only thing i want to feedback and i hope that will change, alot, not for me but for the care of this server... Thanks.

Don´t get me wrong. If it would be just about bersi, well... but you say you play skald, valk, warri, bersi rr5+ for 1vs1 and all are bad in comparison and that´s just wrong.
