Please Consider eliminating forced leveling

My wife and I have been long term original DAOC players. We have played DOCE EDEN and loved seeing all the players. Our playstyle is to be MOLVIK players only. We have found we cannot turn xp off...so we are repeatedly forced out of Molvik. Will the devs please consider allowing players to remain in MOLVIK. Turning pvp and pve xp off.( we do not wish to have to repeatedly make new characters That destroys the immersion of a character you have truly invested in and identify with)

We have played original DAOC on and off since it's inception. We love original DAOC Molvik game play and not the current forced sprint to 50 design.

Please consider allowing players to remain in Molvik.....and making keep fights more than 5 minute affairs.

I have to wonder if this may end up actually killing the BGs.

Fights now happen organically. Usually around the deserters. People at max level would hunt the other areas that players level. It would make it difficult to do any leveling quests there. People would just stop going there. The rest of the world, the pve one, is pretty far spread, and grouping would become a bit more spread. It is also, let's be real here, a bit dull in pve to level.

Pve leveling also loses the advantage of getting bps and rrs. This gives a big leg up when you get to big boy. You get at least some utility when you're there. Purge, SoS, LW. All things that are incredibly useful.

Don't get me wrong though, I see your side. On live, I had movik and thid only chars. All maxed out stats through SC and rog jewelry. I had some fun times. Even here, those times are gone. Especially with wipes. It makes the race to big boy more exciting for most. See how far you can get in RR. See what you can accomplish. Make a name for yourself, even if only for a season.

After doing my first, and a 2nd run in progress in the BG's, I have to agree with above poster that this change would harm the experience. Right now, we can get a hybrid RvR/PvE experience to get to 50 in BG, which is ideal in a PvP focused game. Sometimes, we get ringers in the BG even now - and the only hope for anyone there, is that if they die enough to them, they have to leave.

I do think if this change were implemented, there'd be no "easy prey" in the BG, and far fewer people would be there on their path to 50.
