I think at S3 the gms should remove the xp off and rp off in bgs to keep it more fun. most players get annoyd of the players running in there fully templated and capt rp just to kill to think they are superior. put a time limit in bg ones u hit 24 or max rp before auto port like in old time daoc

It's fun having BG characters though so if RvR is dead you can go hit up Molvik. If Molvik ain't popping off go see what's happening in Thid.

So, you only want perfectly equal fights with equal numbers, equal RRs, equal everything? That's not going to happen.

BGs represents something else to do. Maybe some people prefer to play in the bgs because they don't have the time to do level 50 RvR and the bgs allows them quickly log in, play for 15-30 minutes and log off.

The bg "heroes" are a few people in Leirvik and CV, that's it. If you run with 4-5, the solo minstrel in Leirvik isn't killing you, nor are the duo stealthers in CV. Make some friends. Group up.

mhh i can say, yes they will, waiting the right moment, when you healer sit down near the fire to recover power, or when some crazy pull happens and you are overwhelmed by the mobs :)

The battlegrounds are just that, meant for battle. The original design was not to be a direct quick path to level quickly to cap. You have the non-frontier zones to get xp with zero risk. I always have 2 or 3 toons with xp/rp off in molvik, thid or cath just for the quick action.

Been playing for a few months only, mostly doing BGs on various alts- dont really like the level 50 RVR as much.

I dont have a problem with the xpoff rpoff people, they are pretty few and usually solo or duo. The bonus in gear isnt enough to help them survive a group of 4+ players running into them. They just dont make much difference unless you are running around solo in BGs.

The BGs were great the way they were, the absolute highlight for people with less time or shift work!! Why level in the BG when you know you can get killed, and UNFORTUNATELY, the admins listened to the whiners again and made the BG so annoying!!...what a shame.

Why not define a "BG"-ish area, where you cannot enter when you are... say RR 5 or higher, but that has more reasonable content then BGs, so you can actually contribute to RvR progress of you realm?

I miss the option to go someplace where I know I can compete with people. Nothing more annoying than ALWAYS be up gainst Banbarun, Lord or else high RR, or else have to farm quest spots like a ganker.
For me, KOTH is not really an option, its way too uncoordinated.
Molvik and other BGs were great because you had a chance there. You could reach a reasonable level and actually win figths, even when not having invested 3000 hours in RPs grinding.

Long story short: there is a reasonable interest in allowing separation of advanced players form starters. But BGs are the wrong place to do that, as we learned. There is a reason, why other games don't allow toddlers to try to wrestle against Platin-Level Players, but install a "hierachie", where you can meet equally advanced players.
