Eden-DAoC

I have been wanting to get a house lot on the server but noticed that almost all lots are being sold for like 40-80 plat. A few maybe 20 plat. Is this normal? I know on live its only 300 gold. I take it people are buying them up and reselling them. Would be nice to have more people with a house that can also add to the market place. Will I need to save up tons of plat or will this be addressed at some point?

They drop in price over time, however, I waited at a lot since yesterday for it to drop in price. It was almost to where I could afford it. I waited over 20 hours, someone came in and grabbed it. You would think if they saw someone waiting at the stone they wouldn't buy it,but, apparently they don't give a crap
