I had the same problem. Resolved by launching the game with the master user (admin) session... Since i'm able to connect from every session

downloaded eden onto a new computer (restored old one), however, I am getting a
"you need to select your game folder by clicking in the top left corner first"
I go to the top left as directed, which open my file folder and it goes to my onedrive folder. There are no
file folders with eden in that. Should I copy something from the old computer to the new one from and into the onedrive
or is there something wrong with the launcher?

Did you download and install DAoC?

Funny you should say that...after doing the downloader 3 times I realized I had not updated DAOC download. Once I did that I was able to log in.
So if you are stuck on downloading and launching game. Start with updates on DAOC download from Eden website and then the folders will be available.
