Hi,

currently it is possible to craft spell focus on Armor and build templates with permanent 1h weapon/shield equipped.
This was never possible on any live daoc server and on the few freeshards this was possible in the past it got bugfixed.

only used low level armor/spell craft gem for the test but you can also have any lvl 50 single focus on armor

I tried to do this on live as well but these SC stones cant be crafted there anymore
(it says you will craft an alb weapon when you try to craft a focus stone on midgard)

The link doesn't work, but after next reboot, focus bonus will only be considered on staffs as it should.
Will keep open for proper link.

Totally ridiculous to hotfix this after a month. So many people have already committed to templates based around this. You expect these people to completely redo their templates now?

Yes.

To clarify, armor never worked. This is just a fix for 1h/2h weapon (other than staff) that at the moment did work.

Focus worked fine on armor before the last patch. Got 50 light and mana focus on sleeves. Since reboot, I'm casting 5-6 spells before going oom.

as it should.
It works only on staff, not armor or other weapons.
great fix!

I thought it was a smart new feature implemented by Eden. Was actually a bug...

Hello,

you can apply focus on 1h/shield.
the focus doesnt work then.
but you can still put it on there.

"Someone attempting to imbue focus on any item except a staff should receive this message: 'A focus gem can only be applied to a staff'"

i want to prevent others wasting money on making caster templates, putting focus on shield or 1h weapon
