theu pets broken mechanics

Hey i think theu pets mechanics is broken or something is wrong. After i killed a single mob with a pet (ice spirit) ,another mob spawned and aggros my not moving pet,and after he died , mob come to me.I was far from the mob and wasn t a target. sorry for bad eng.
