Healer leveling spec

I'm going to be leveling a healer, and I've never played any healing class in DAoC other than friar way back when and I didn't heal on him. Is there some information somewhere that has some different level spec milestones, like maybe for each BG or something? I was unaware that they have no "offensive" spec like the other healing classes do so solo leveling in BGs isn't great and if I'm going to group I'll need to not be full Aug I'd guess?

Also any advice on how to be more effective as a healer? I downloaded a custom UI, Derida's I believe, so I have a healer's helper.

For leveling just keep Aug 1 below current level, 2 Pac (for inst attack speed debuff pull), rest into mending until you reach 50 and then change to your final spec.

Just use very fast 1h hammers and the LT Proc (PvE), selfbuffs, dmg add, dmg shield etc. will do the rest.

Even with full Aug your defensive heal proc supports the group and you can be a backup healer with aoe amnesia rupt and baseline mezz / baseline stun + demezz.

To you second question. You also have a Healers Helper in the standard UI.
Just have a look on eden discord. There are some advice for healers.

Thanks for the reply. I found a hammer that was in my level range with a 2.8 speed that was doing really well for me. But most of the stuff in BGs is way slower than that. They're all 4.2 which doesn't seem ideal. Any ideas where I could maybe find faster weapons that would work better?

Well in Classic Dungeons the dropchance is increased.
If your hammer will turn blue you can go in a dungeon to farm a new one.
The stats and quality are not that critical.
Most important for a xp hammer is a very fast swingspeed and perhaps a bonus proc on the hammer itself.
