New to DAOC

I am new to this game but a long-time veteran of EQ/EQ2. I have done some research but i am not really sure where to start beside jumping in. Is there a specific faction i should join to help balance?

Well balance at this point does not really matter, it depends on what and how you want to play and your taste about the environment lol.... Hibernia has rainbows and unicorns, Albion has churches and knights and Midgard...well Midgard has a lot of snow, trolls and eyepatch dwarves!
