How to link items in chat?

I tried googling this and found nothing. I asked in guild but most people in my guild don't speak good English. I thought they were telling me to drag from inventory to chat but when I do this it does nothing.

Update- Got help on Discord. Thing I was doing wrong was , I was trying to drop icon where you type , rather than in the chat window itself.

First right click the chat window and select the channel, where you want to post the item, as default channel.
Then you can drag from inventory in this channel
