it s juste my opinion... hotkeys is insane !
So many player use this and for me they destroy game (skald / barde / heal ...)
why it s allowed ?

The ability to chain keys has been available via various means since DAOC launch, and the acceptance of AHK simply acknowleges the fact that people WILL use such programs be it through a programmable mouse, keyboard, or game pad. AHK is free, and available to all.
The game is over 20 years old now, and technology has changed. Change with it.

While I don't agree with using AHK, i cant see the any server banning it as I'd imagine trying to police it would be a nightmare. It is cheap, lazy and gives an unfair advantage to some classes, on the other hand classes like Paladins need it due to their stupid twist mechanic.
Sadly it's never going to go away. (Also, i dare say the people defending it are the ones using it)

Every single software for gaming mouse/keyboards has a built-in macro software.
Unless you want to blanket ban any of these software running in the background on ANY PC running a DAoC freeshard client you cannot ban macro usage.
I also prefer using macro over the mind-numbing experience of playing a Skald or Paladin and manually hitting the same buttons every 8 seconds.
