September 16, 2022 - New Features & Last Phase of Alpha

If you haven't already - please join our discord at http://discord.gg/eden-daoc to receive the latest updates. Information there is delivered quicker than it is reposted here.

Town portals
- In an effort to provide more ways for groups to get together, we are introducing town portals. These are powerful items that will allow a member of the group to open a two way rift to their bind point. Once open, the portal will last for 5 minutes before closing. During that time the player and his group members may pass freely both ways between the rift. These are currently on the /use2 of your bindstones for testing, but will become their own item in the future.

Multiple Character Pages
- Players will be able to select additional character pages through account . Players will need to log in through this account page to access these additional character pages for now.

Account sharing tool
- Players will be able to set additional friend accounts and be able to swap between accounts. Keep in mind that accounts that are shared will both receive Realm Loyalty penalty and be subject to realm timers. Use /accountshare in game or visit account

Nameplate range
- Players can now use the /nameplate command to increase/decrease the range which nameplates show to them. Keep in mind this distance is to the camera, not the character.

Classic Monster resists
- All monsters in the classic zones have had their appropriate resists applied. We will continue to add the remaining zones.

Open world quests
- Two new zones have received quests: Camelot Hills (10-19) and Lough Derg (10-24).
- Red dots now appear on the map.
- Named mobs have had their respawn reduced to 10 minutes.

Non-concentration buffs
- The range limitation on non-concentration buffs (damage add, etc) has been removed in PvE.

Quest max level cap
- The max level cap will still prevent a player from picking up a quest, but now a player can continue to complete and turn in the quest past the max level. The xp rewards will be scaled down to the max level.

A New Companion - LVL 20 Mount Quests
- In an effort to help members of the realm travel more freely, the Royal Stable Master in each of the realm's capital cities are now offering a quest to players lvl20 and above to acquire a mount. These mounts are hastener speed, and can only be used in PvE. They can be fully equipped with saddles, barding, etc.

The Journey Begins - LVL 1-10 New Player Quests
- A new questline has been added to the tutorial zones Constantine, Lamfhota and Grenlock's Sound. Players between lvl 1-9 can jump into this questline and receive help/instruction on the basics of the game. Players who complete the quest line will finish at lvl 10 in Mularn/Camelot Hills/Mag Mell at the Explorer quest giver, ready to continue their journey in the realm!

/info mob Command
- Use the new /info mob command in game to see further details about a monster: Level, type, charmable, damage type, and resistances. If you find any monsters that have incorrect values for any of these, please let us know in the bug report forum! This command will only be available during alpha/beta.

Change character page in game!
- Players can now set their character page in game using the /page command. Players can use up to 5 pages of characters. For example, log into the game and type /page 2 to access a 2nd page of characters. To go back to your original page , log into the game and type /page 1. Players can always change their page at anytime outside of game using the account drop down.

Dungeon Aggro
- Players will no longer proximity aggro monsters through walls in dungeons. Bring a friend and /yell working across walls will be resolved in a future update.

Crafting
- Crafting has received a massive overhaul, and has been nearly rebuilt from the ground up. Please continue to test and report any issues you find to this crafting thread: viewtopic.php?t=681

Charlie the Ceiling Fan!
- Level cap raised to 49, players can now continue the fight in Cathal Valley!

As we enter into the last phase of Alpha we want you to please note that any lvl 50+ content is actively being worked on for Beta. Players are welcome to continue to use the content, but be aware that loot tables, rog drops, respawn timers, difficulty, encounters, levels, etc are all being actively worked on and are subject to change!
