can you please nerf the slam style?

No. This is dumb in my opinion. Why should class X and class Y invest the same points into a style line and one gets a nerfed version of the ability.
How is slam being "abused"? Provide examples. Why can't you purge it like literally everybody else in the game?
Slam is fine. It always has been. It requires 42 spec in a specline of dubious value otherwise. The change to 5s for hybrids on retail is bad and forces people into more cookie cutter specs.
I just dont get it... RETAIL DAOC SUCKS but soo many to want to emulate it and some of the terrible choices they made soo badly. Let's just patch to retail's state of balance so we can have 100 people total on each realm every night...
To add in more point about how utterly toxic this change is, what you will see happen is everybody go to 35 shield and just start janking around side styling for the 8s stun, and they will have more points to invest elsewhere.

I 100% agree. Especially, with KoTH you just spend the entire thing slammed. You get 2 purges at best the entirety of KoTH yet, the minute you pop in you're just slammed and have to wait 8 seconds as 8 people jump you. I play both a light tank and an assassin class and it think it is fully okay with nerfing slam or decreasing vanish time. Light tanks get a 90 sec charge yet vanish's time doesn't go down at all. It is worthless to put more than 1 level in vanish because the RUT is so long. If KoTH is going to be a staple of RvR/PvP action something needs to be done to balance it out because right now it is almost as bad as being able to cover the entire maze in shrooms to shut down the entire playable map.

I have some bad news for you. All the people who put 42 levels in shield for slam will just go 35 and keep stunning you for the same amount of time (-1s) just as easily. As long as side styles are basically use anytime styles, this change does nothing productive. You really want to see a toxic meta where even more people are janking around like retail?

Everyone and their dog slams you for 9 secs in this version of game. Limit them to 5 secs like on live, let them struggle with a mangle or disable. 9 secs slam is only for heavies.
Give 5 sec side stun to mercs in DW line. A light tank needs to work for peels with multiple positional styles not 9 sec slam stun. Again, 9 secs stun on every shield wearer is dumb..
