i opened ticket for same problem little earlier but thread creator might have found a workaround.. if it is a save problem i will create 42er inis for all single spec chars and test some relog later.

EDIT PS: seems to work. created ini 42 for my level toon, logged out cleric with dualspec 2, logged in level toon.. no chat resets!

Verified. It seems to fix the biggest issues related to /dualspec.

-The bug is everytime I swap Dual Spec's my game crashes every 5 minutes or so.

-To reproduce, I believe just swap specs using /dualspec however I can not seem to stay in the game long enough so It is recreating itself.
-Useful information, When I /dualspec the first time instead of just going to character screen it logs me out completely. When i relaunch client, I am the new spec. When i /Dualspec again it then just brings me to the character screen to swap and auto logs me back in.

Summary: I have recently applied a Dualspec to one of my characters. Prior to doing so server has been perfect with no Linkdead issues or random crashes. Since applying Dualspec in and only when using Dualspec 2 option am i getting random situations where client just randomly closes. No error or linkdead screen, it is just DAOC/game.dll being gone. If i play any other character or Dualspec 1 option i have zero issues. Just wondering if there is anything i need to do? I also have where Dualspec 2 does not save any of my action bars/macros on bars everytime i sign back into game.

Issue: game.dll/Dark Age of Camelot client randomly closing.

Hello,

I was wondering if you got assistance with this issue as I am experiencing the same thing. I recently applied a dualspec to one of my characters, and I only experience random crashes when using Dualspec 2 option. If i switch back to Dualspec 1 everything is fine and all my other characters are perfect.

After I enabled dualspec, every macro I create is deleted when I relog.
When logging the toon I always get the "switching spec" message.
When quitting the game about half the time the game crashes.

It's so weird, the quickbar spells are correctly saved, only the macros get deleted.
The macro are in the ini file, but the position on the bar is not saved.

I have the same issue regarding dualspec. My complete UI is crashed - means that everything is reset, positions, macros, bars, chatboxes - nearby everything. And I am experiencing a lot of game crashes. Window is just closing and thats it.

Is there a workaround? The linked Topic above is empty. Create a 42.ini? How to do it exactly?

Dualspec is not usable at this time, maybe better to remove it and test it before implementation.

i have the same problem, anytime i ld or switch characters i have to reset bars and everything, it made me quit the other night after the 6th time setting them up... what is the solution? it has me so frustrated about to quit playing
