I would like to ask for an extension of /bg beam command to the groups. Details are below;
Problem Statement:
Often times in Battlegroups it is extremely difficult to keep track of groups members. The best option at the moment is to turn on only group member names and set /nameplates to 2200 as a healer. However, even in doing so it is still very difficult to see where the group members are once they are spread out during BG vs BG fights, which happens quite a bit. It will also help newer players with awareness of their group members and not to spread out too much
For example, as you can see in the below screenshot even though names are set to 2200, I still can't see my group mates or tell if they are all in my line of sight but I can clearly see the bg lead still;
Solution:
Extend the /bg Beam functionality to the groups. Here are some possible ways to implement;
- command to put beams on group members can be /g beam done by group lead
- a few color options like /g beam red, yellow, white etc.
- group beam should only be visible to group members
- keep the same /bg beam range
