Scout spec.

Is it worth sacrificing bow damage to go more 50/50 bow melee spec or is scout melee dps still as borked as on every other server?
Was looking at 36bow 39melee 37 stealth (at rr3) and 42 shield. Or do you just write off its melee and go 50 bow 18melee 42 shield.
Think its the worst class in DAoC but always liked my archers...at least hunter and ranger had melee option at rr6 and above.
