I am a veteran DAoC player, but have never played Hib. I have almost finished leveling my Hero and going to try to template him for RvR.
I would like a good beginner Spec was thinking:
42 Shield
50 LW
Blunt/Parry
What RA allocation is the best, I heard to go Det 9, then Purge 2, is this sound advice?
Lastly, I would like template recommendations for items that need to be farmed, where to farm them etc?
If anyone could help me out with any/all of this information I would really appreciate it.

If you want to go LW go
50 LW or CS
45 Shield (for tactics)
10 sword (side snare)
34 parry.
this is basically 90% of heros specs.
Farming is easy to temp here. Just keep doing all the raids and grabbing gear off vendors and you'll be pretty much set.
