Cannot use an item from another realm after using mild acid dye remover

I removed my Hauberk of Demonic Dreams (Scale chestpiece on Norse Warrior).
I used mild acid dye remover on it.
When I try to re-equip it, it says "Cannot use an item from another realm"

It is a hib item, you are not supposed to be able to use items from other realms.
It was likely fixed while you had it on.
