Infiltrator Heightened awareness

the stealth lore of heightened awareness is not working. If this is supposed to be the case can you just simply remove it from the game? the Shadowblade speed boost while in stealth worked in S1 but have not tested in S2 beta. Over the last week I have gotten into fights with other stealthers while having heightened awareness active but saw them from the same distance as if I didnt have it active.
