Recommended Friar Spec?

I solo a lot on my Friar and I am interested in some spec advice.

I'm thinking of:
25 rej
45 enh
50 staff
7 parry

Suggestions?

Re: Recommended Friar Spec?

I've no idea yet, as i havent had chance to to level to 50.
But these are the solo specs i will try...

50staff
50enhance
7rejuv
12parry

50staff
45enhance
15rejuv
21parry

50staff
45 enhance
25rejuv
7parry

50staff
40 enhance
25rejuv
21parry

50staff
35enhance
26rejuv
28parry

I think parry will be important for solo, as we have the off parry stun chain now... But i could be wrong.

Good luck.

I don't think you can go lower than 45 enh on a friar.

I'm thinking of the 50 staff 50 enh spec. Seems to be good for small group or solo.

50 staff
50 enh

either
12 parry
8 rejuv
or
14 parry
rest rejuv

Re: Recommended Friar Spec?

i guess you need the last dex/qui buff....(the other stuff, like endredux, healprocs, resists, are nice to have).

However, do charge items exist on Eden? If so then you could use a charge for that dex/qui buff and significantly increase your parry (ensuring you always have 7rejuv for the cures)

Re: Recommended Friar Spec?

Doing a little bit of char build, I would almost surely go with:

50staff
45 enhance
25rejuv
7parry

Would not go below 45 end for any reason, would want 50 staff for sure.

Even when soloing, having rejuv below 25 is such a hassle. It can save your life having real heals every now and then out solo, but having rejuv < 25 was just a real hassle whenever you join a BG, or are in an impromptu keep siege, or join a raid, and then 25 rejuvenation just doesn't cut it at all. Cure Nearsight at 25 too.

On Phoenix, I always came back to 25 rejuv as the sweet spot, and I imagine it'll be similar here.

Re: Recommended Friar Spec?

Why do people want 50 Staff so bad? Like, Excommunicate didnt feel too great / necessary tbh + in group fights you dont fight too much if theres just 1 cleric - so..

I'd rather understand if everyone wanted to go 50 Enhance and lesser Staff (39ish or maybe lower + more Rej then)

Guess there is no "best" Spec - people will have to find out for themselves what fits best for their playstyle

Ex communicate is one of the best styles in the entire game.

Re: Recommended Friar Spec?

I went 34 Rejuvinvation / 50 Enhancement / 39 Staff / 4 Parry to start with. I think this is a solid PvE spec when you are gathering your gear. For PvP, I think it makes more sense to focus on high Staff with Enhancement or high Rejuvination with Enhancement. Go healing or go melee. Just my opinion though.

Re: Recommended Friar Spec?

Hi guys, old Battle friar here.

I used to be a Battle friar back in the day on live.
+15 DEX
+10 Qui

34 staff (for the anytime THAT DONT MISS, and evade strike with snare)
50 enhance (all the self goodies and resists)
7 rej, (for curing stuff. still got the free ghetto rez so, cant really heal anyways soo)
30 something in parry. (not getting hit means no need to heal)

DEX is 100% damage, and 50% of our evade aswell as 50% of our Parry aswell as 100% casting speed.
QUI is 50% of our evade and parry aswell as our swing speed.
PIE is our power wich we dont get alot of, (1 each 5th lvl if im not mistaken)
Con is just as bad as our pie, we need to dish out MASSIVE DPS and QUICKLY and not getting hit.
Our dex/qui are only triumphed by the archer class.

So main healer? No not really , more like backup healer or Downtime heals.
Sure HOTs are nice but going above 24 rej, you sure you have chosen the right "healing" class here ?
