You can't group necro with other pets, necro IS the pet.

I don't really mind anything else but being able to just shrug off mezz and root with the pet is just plain stupid. It's not even 'high skill' you literally just press one button.

Yeah mentalist can do the same, just release the pet instead of cancelling the charm, the pet will lose mezz and instantly attack, then the next pulse of the charm recharms it.
