Both Astral Mephitic Fang and The One are left hand Hand to Hand. You will need to use Left Hand Hand to Hand Patterns. Confirmed in game this is working.

Unfortunately this quest was globally reset due to an error in the quest that needed to be fixed (which resets all quest credit). We are very sorry for the progress lost, we understand this is a very difficult and time consuming epic quest.
